Growing chassis brand adds new Southern California outlet.
Full Throttle Karting prides itself on providing quality products for its customers in Southern California. Owned by veteran industry member Andy Seesemann, FTK stands firm as one of the longest running kart shops in the Los Angeles metropolitan area, offering all the merchandise needed to put motorsport enthusiasts onto the kart track. The newest product added to the list is the growing GFC chassis brand.
The GFC chassis brand was established by American karter Gary Carlton in 2018. The multi-time United States karting champion and two-time winner at the SKUSA SuperNationals turned his attention from the seat to the other side of the fence, creating an American-based karting team and developing his own chassis line – GFC. Carlton has put together the wealth of knowledge gained over the last 20 years in the sport, working with numerous American and international factory teams along with engine manufacturers to refine both his race team and chassis.
“I am excited to add the GFC line to our current offerings,” stated Andy Seesemann, owner of Full Throttle Karting. “Gary is one of the most passionate people about karting that I have ever met. That shows in his commitment to building a quality product and his attention to detail.”
Two models are currently available with the GFC line. The SS31 is a 30mm frame focused on the TaG market while the 32mm GT14 is geared toward shifterkart competition. The unique black and white style helps the GFC chassis to stand out. The GFC chassis won in its debut at the ROK the RIO event in November 2018 while it has gained multiple wins and podiums throughout the first half of 2019, including Challenge of the Americas, California ROK Championship and the ROK Sonoma series at Simraceway Performance Karting Center.
“We are very excited and honored to add Full Throttle Karting and Andy Seesemann to our growing dealer network in the Southern California region,” commented Gary Carlton. “Seesemann and his team have over 20 years of experience in the karting world and, most importantly, have one of the best track records of the highest levels of customer service. As the GFC brand continues to grow, we think FTK will be a vital part of our success and we cannot wait to get the ball rolling. Along with this announcement, we will be unveiling our new website gfckarting.com in the coming days, where we will have all the information about our products, dealers, and Official Race Team. It’s exciting times!”
Seesemann added, “Gary is one of the few Americans that could refer to themselves as a professional kart driver, from his days living at the Trackmagic factory developing their chassis 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to working for and living at CRG, IPK, Zanardi, etc in Europe. He has lived and breathed this sport for more than 20 years. I only want to do business with those companies and individuals that are passionate about the sport and have impeccable reputations. Adding the GFC to my current product lines achieves this goal.”
In the upcoming weeks, Full Throttle Karting and GFC will announce a promotion that will provide one lucky winner to drive the GFC SS31 with a ROK engine at an upcoming race. Details are in development for what will be an exciting opportunity for a racer. FTK will remain the leading kart shop in Southern California, offering a wide variety of chassis, products and services in addition to the FTK trackside race team at selected events throughout the season.
