Tomasz Cichoracki, Adrian Potępa, Natan Lukas and Paweł Naperty became winners of the Rok Cup Poland’s third series that took place on Słomczyn circuit. The youngest drivers note shifts in the overall standings.
Paweł Naperty (MK Motorsport) became winner in Słomczyn’s youngest category and took the lead in the overall standings after a very successful racing weekend. A very young trainee of Marek Kuc won two races with the best time results, in next two races he finished 2nd, and he also took 2nd position in timed sessions.
Other drivers who stood on the podium were Maksymilian Bonisławski (KRZ Motorsport) and Robert Chodorski (JSTR), who overtook Franciszek Brachman (Birel Art Poland) by only one point thanks to the weekend’s last race. Behind them were Stanisław Antczak (E1G), who gained the pole position, Jakub Mizera (Parolin Poland) and Adam Burghardt (DSR Shifter).
In the youngest category – Baby Rok – 15 drivers took part in the competitions. Paweł Naperty leads in the overall standings with 219 points, placing himself before Ksawery Lukas (Parolin Poland, 212 pts) and Michelle Zembska (E1G, 166). The latter two took the 9th and 8th place respectively at the event in Słomczyn.
In the cup contest we saw one of the younges licensed drivers of the last few years to debut – Hubert Woźniak (Supersonic), for whom it was only his third racing weekend (he first showed up at first round of Polish Karting Chamnpionship in Bydgoszcz). He is barely six years and five months old!
In the Mini Rok category, the weekend’s winner after the first day was Natan Lukas (Parolin Poland), who managed to beat the pole position holder Paweł Markowski (AMO Racing) and the overall standings leader Maximilian Safarzyński (MK Motorsport). Natan Lukas turned out to be the most effective driver of the weekend, winning all the races. However, Maximilian Safarzyński, although he finished 3rd in all four races, in three of them he had the best lap time.
The E1G Racing Team drivers followed in the next positions: Filip Kliś, Piotr Mikołajczyk and Raman Murakhou, who won in the Mini Rok U10 classifications, outrunning Leo Sawicki and Ryszard Kocik (both from Parolin Poland). In the overall U10 standings, Raman Murakhou took the lead overtaking Feliks Cichucki (DSR Shifter).
Among the Juniors, the DD Motorsport Team drivers were once again the fastest ones. Adrian Potępa, leader of the overall standings, won the competition and overtook Borys Błaszczyk and Michał Zając at the weekend’s finish line. Potępa won three races, but the last one was taken from him by second day’s good player Karol Kostur (DD Motorsport), who at the end took 5th place in the competition’s classification. The 4th place was occupied by Natan Rybczyński (Bambini Racing), standing right behind the three leading drivers.
The next positions in the twenty-person classification were taken by Maksymilian Piątek (Bambini Racing), the Polish representative in the FIA Academy, Lena Szyfter (DSR Shifter), who races under the Orlen Team banner, and Kacper Kluk (AMO), who can be considered the biggest loser of the weekend’s top participants, as he did not make it to the finish in two races. In the other two he finished 5th (+P11) and 3rd.
Adrian Potępa remains the leader of overall standing, beating Borys Błaszczyk and Michał Zając.
The Senior Rok category remains equally interesting. Tomasz Cichoracki, for whom it was his second round in this season, became this weekend’s fastest driver. Bambini Racing team member feels at home at Słomczyn circuit. He won two races: in one he finished 2nd, in another one 9th. His last race deserves attention – Cichoracki managed to make his way to the first place starting from the eighth pole, finishing with the best time and almost a 3.5 second advantage!
A 20-person Senior group gave us an extraordinary show where competing for positions was present in almost every part of the event. The next places in the competition were granted to the overall standings’ leader Colin Ważny (DD Motorsport) and Kacper Turoboyski (Bambini Racing). Among the extremely fast drivers were Oskar Hildebrański (DD Motorsport), Antoni Kosiba (KRZ Motorsport) and especially Alan Jakóbiak (KRT Exprit), who stood out with his excellent shape on the second day, finishing 5th and later 2nd! Jakóbiak gradually made his way through the standings, finishing 12th at first, then 9th, and finally 5th and 2nd. At the end he placed himself at 6th position in the drivers’ standings.
The first ten positions were taken by Mikołaj Kania (DD Motorsport), Jakub Kiwalski (Bambini Racing), Jakub Jojko (KRZ Motorsport) and Jan Stencel (Bambini Racing). Ważny remains at the top of overall standings, with Turoboyski and Hildebrański right behind him.
