Two Polish drivers Franciszek Palmirski and Kacper Nadolski were at the forefront in the final race of Senior Rok category Rok Cup Superfinal. The main trophy was won by Italian Cristian Comanducci.
Franciszek Palmirski and Kacper Nadolski took the fourth and fifth position in the final of the senior category Rok Cup Superfinal. This is a great success of two drivers and the entire Polish team, especially since the third driver in the top ten was Adrian Janicki. TOP10 was made up of three Italians, three Poles, a Swiss, a Czech, a Norwegian and an Argentine. The fourth Polish driver in the grand final was Michalina Sabaj, who finished in 19th place.
The world cup was won by an Italian driver Cristian Comanducci, well known to all karting fans from the competition in the international OK category. Comanducci in the 2019 season took, among others, the third position in the WSK Champions Cup and recorded fifth place in the prestigious Trofeo Margutti. At Lonato he was one of the favorites next to Giuseppe Gagliano, who won pole position and the qualification. Both Italians had an exciting fight in the final, changing the lead of the race. The decision came on the last lap when Comanducci overtook Gagliano. The third place in the final was taken by Swiss driver Tanja Mueller, whose highest position in her career at this event was seventh, won four years ago.
Three Poles who competed to the grand finals from high places – Palmirski started from the fourth, Nadolski from the fifth, and Janicki from the eighth – defended their positions. Adrian Janicki moved one place forward, and Franek Palmirski and Kacper Nadolski arrived at the finish line at the same from which they started. This doesn’t mean that they didn’t try to attack the higher ones and didn’t have to defend those already acquired.
The final was a very interesting spectacle, full of fight, especially in further positions, but also in the lead. It is a pity that Franek Palmirski failed to get to the finish line third place, which he jumped right after the start of the race. In turn, Kacper Nadolski, who at the beginning of the competition fell 9th very skillfully and quickly moved to the 5th place and defended to the finish line.
Michalina Sabaj had an interesting fight in the second part of the stake. The driver from Krakow started the race from 18th place, but after a few laps she was 24th. Finally she was able to regain lost positions and finished in 19th place.
Four Poles performed in the grand finale. The other three finished their participation in the B final. The highest position in this group can boast Marcin Zając, who in the OMP Trophy race (final B) came in second place. Attention is drawn to the fact that the younger of the Zając brothers started the race from 19th place to lead the field after only 6 laps. The finish passed as a second driver, giving way to Indonesian Rava Mahpud.
Other Polish drivers took the following places: Piotr Pliszka P12 (+ P10) in final B, Jakub Wójcik DNF final B.
In the eighth place in the finals came on the finish line the Czech Tereza Babickova, who raced in the Polish team Lenartowicz Motorsport.
