Franciszek Lassota will be the driver of the factory CRG team in the 2020 season. The Polish driver is extending the contract with the team from Lonato for another year in Europe. We will see Franek in a factory suit during the new international series and WSK.
Franciszek Lassota will continue driving in the factory CRG team in the 2020 season (Mini60). The young Pole will be seen in some events of the prestigious WSK series and the new international Champions of the Future series, which is promoted by RGMMC and to be the prelude to introducing the youngest categories to the European Championship Karting competition.
Lassota will drive all three rounds of the new RGMMC series in Spain, Italy and Sweden. We’ll find out in which events the driver from Nowa Iwiczna near Warsaw will start in several days. Franek’s first training of this season at the factory CRG is to take place on the last weekend of January at the „home track” of the Lonato factory. Then he will also present his entire start plan this season.
Franek joined the factory CRG team in October last year. Last season, he took part in the team of „Black” in the WSK Open Cup and the famous Trofeo delle Industrie. It was a double debut of a young Polish driver, because for the first time he appeared in the colors of the factory team and for the first time went to the prestigious WSK.
In Polish series we will also see a CRG Spa driver. In the 2020 season, he will still be the driver of the CRG satellite team in Poland – MK Racing in the entire Rok Cup Poland and Polish Karting Championships. Last season, a driver from Nowa Iwiczna came 9th in the Mini Rok category. However, he devoted more attention to the Rotax Micro Max category, in which he became the second runner-up in Poland and the runner-up in the Polish cup competition of Rotax Max Challenge Poland.
The presence of Franek Lassota in the factory team is certainly closely related to the team’s new strategy in the 2020 season. At the end of the year, the factory announced that the team’s composition will be renewed, and under its wings will return the drivers of the youngest categories. The presence of a Pole in the composition of this titled team is proof that Polish drivers count on the European karting market.
