Rotax Grand Finals has been consistently broadcast live online for eight years. We know the audience result of this year’s event. The competition was reported on the Livestream/com platform, which was also used by Polski Karting.
The audience rating of this year’s Rotax Grand Finals is 95,122 viewers of all events broadcast by the German operator Kart-Data. From the beginning of the first streaming session until Saturday evening, when Rotax Grand Finals commentators said goodbye to the viewers and invited them to another coverage in a year.
We would like to remind you that Henry Beaudette was the main commentator on this year’s Grand Finals. The world finals studio and interviews with participants were led by the invaluable Jen Wade. Henry’s racing commentary was helped by the famous Ken Walker, Rotax Euro Trophy commentator and BNL Karting Series Alex Goldschmidt, and former world format drivers Canadian Scott Campbell and Italy Filippo Laghi.
Almost 100,000 viewers from around the world is an excellent result, but not the best. The Grand Finals had the highest viewership in 2016, also in Sarno, when as many as 267869 viewers gathered in front of computer and smartphone screens. That was the record breaking audience of the Rotax world final.
This year’s event had the lowest audience share in three years. The final in Portugal in 2017 was followed by 116773 viewers, and the event in Brazil a year later 112700 viewers.
